1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing factorwallet.org or downloading, installing or using Factor Wallet (the “Software”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the website or the Software.
2. The Software
Factor Wallet is free, open-source software that lets you create and manage keys for the Factor blockchain and send and receive FACT. It is distributed under the MIT License; that license governs your rights to the source code.
3. Non-custodial wallet
You alone control your private keys and seed phrase. We never hold your funds and cannot access, freeze, reverse or recover transactions or wallets.
If you lose your seed phrase and your device, your FACT cannot be recovered by anyone.
4. Your responsibilities
- Keep your seed phrase, password and device secure.
- Verify every address and amount before sending — blockchain transactions are irreversible.
- Download the Software only from official sources.
- Comply with all laws and tax obligations that apply to you.
5. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these terms. You may not use the Software where doing so is prohibited by law or if you are subject to sanctions.
6. Prohibited use
You agree not to use the website or Software for money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, or any other illegal activity, nor to attempt to disrupt the website, the network or other users.
7. Risks
- The price of FACT can be highly volatile and may fall to zero.
- Software may contain bugs; networks may fork, stall or be attacked.
- Regulation of digital assets may change and affect their use or value.
- Nothing on this site is financial, investment, legal or tax advice.
8. Network fees
Transactions pay fees to the miners of the Factor network. These fees are not collected by us and cannot be refunded.
9. Third-party services
The website may link to exchanges, explorers or other services we do not operate. We are not responsible for their content, security or practices.
10. Intellectual property
The Factor name, logo and website design belong to their respective owners. The Software’s source code is licensed under the MIT License; other content may not be reused without permission.
11. No warranty
The website and Software are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Factor contributors shall not be liable for any loss of funds, profits or data, or for any indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the website or Software.
13. Changes
We may update these terms at any time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
